Featuring audiophile-grade 24-bit digital-to-analog converters that operate at the data's native* sample rate, the Icon iDo also offers a built-in headphone amplifier capable of powering headphones to their full potential.

What is Apple Lossless?

Apple Lossless or Apple Lossless encoder (ALE) is an audio codec developed by Apple for lossless data compression of digital music. Unlike MP3 or AAC lossy formats, in which audio quality is lost to make the files smaller, Apple Lossless stores the original CD track without loss (like a zip file) to a file about half its original size.

The Icon iDo is small, lightweight and simple to connect to your Apple iPod, iPhone or iPad via USB cable — included with the Icon iDo.
For headphones, simply plug the mini-jack into the Icon iDo and you’ll instantly hear new and improved sound.
For at-home stereo listening, just plug in a set of RCA cables or single coaxial to the Icon iDo, and you’re ready to rock!
