With its variable crossover and phase-adjustment features, the high-performance NuForce W-1 subwoofer is designed to operate seamlessly with our Icon and S-1 systems for a low-end extension to 50Hz. In terms of tempo, speed and compatibility, the lightning fast response of the W-1's class-D amp permits the subwoofer to operate in perfect alignment with our S-1 speaker. Clearly, in terms both of looks and performance, the Icon, S-1 and W-1 are best of breed. Better yet, the W-1's adjustable crossover permits our compact subwoofer to work equally well with any bookshelf or desktop speaker.

High Class Sub-woofer for the computing music fanatic

i have had a few subs for my pc and this one beats it all the construction is class one, you'll get tired of it cause it's built like a tank and the performance is along the sub you use for your home theater but specially designed for the pc. Paired with the S1-X speakers and the icon2 headphone/speaker amp. You won't go back to the store anytime soon. You can shop with assurance that those guys put quality and performance in their gears and if u ever need their support, they are class one!

I bought the Icon with the S1 a couple of month ago, and yes I liked them. Then I got the upgraded power supply and the W1 today. And again I like them very much. The power supply really adds value (lower frequencies and midrange primarily), that is more air moved. Without saying the sub W1 brings it to another league now. These comments are high-level only, and I can not compare to any other desktop equipment. However, I can tell you that I normally listen music with a NAIM/Thiel audio combination that is much more expensive; and yes I enjoy the NuForce combo very much too.
